Elk Valley & Area Hospice would like to invite everyone to join them for the third annual Hike for Hospice on Saturday, May 23 on the Montane Trail Network.

The Hike for Hospice is an opportunity to raise much needed funds for end-of-life care and grief support for our community.

Join as an individual or get together with your family, friends or work colleagues and join as a team! We also invite everyone to hike in honour, memory or support of a loved one. Placards will be available to decorate on the day.

Hikers of all ages and abilities as well as their beloved four-legged friends are encouraged to participate.

Registration is free and there will be draw prizes and goodie bags.

Date: Saturday May 23.

Time: 9:30 a.m. registration opens, 10 a.m. hikers depart.

Location: Montane Trail System – departing from the Montane Trailhead parking lot, located off the Montane Parkway. If you cannot join us in Fernie and would prefer to hike in your own community, you are still welcome to register and choose a local hike to complete.

Hiking Trail: We will be hiking the scenic Montane Green – Easy Beaver Trail. Hikers can choose to take the longer hike to Montane Hut return (seven km), shorter options (one km and 3.5km) or simply hike as far you wish.

All registered hikers will receive a goodie bag and entry to win draw prizes.

Registration is free and hikers are encouraged (but not required) to make a pledge when you register and/or raise funds independently or as part of a team.
