Coming June 2, the Invermere Film Festival (IFF) is excited to present Project Hail Mary – the highly anticipated sci-fi adventure based on the bestselling novel by Andy Weir (The Martian).

Ryan Gosling stars as Ryland Grace and fun fact, he’s Canadian! Born in London, Ontario, Gosling is not only the lead actor in Project Hail Mary, but also one of the film’s producers. Known for acclaimed performances in La La Land, Blade Runner 2049, and Barbie, Gosling brings humour, heart, and humanity to this ambitious sci-fi adventure.

Sandra Hüller stars as Eva Stratt, the brilliant and fiercely determined scientist coordinating Earth’s desperate efforts to survive a global crisis. Strong-willed, highly intelligent, and impossible to ignore, Stratt becomes one of the film’s most commanding characters.

Many festival-goers may remember Hüller’s incredible performance in Anatomy of a Fall, which screened at the 2024 Invermere Film Festival. Hüller has received international acclaim for her work and has been nominated or won numerous acting awards throughout her career.
