The Electoral Area E Information Meeting is taking place at the Wasa Community Hall (Wasa School Road) on Monday, June 15, and residents are invited to connect with the Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) and hear what’s happening in their Electoral Area.

Starting at 7 p.m., we will hear remarks from Area E Director Jane Walter. The evening will continue with RDEK staff providing updates on several projects and services, including the Rural Transfer Station Optimization Project, the Accessory Dwelling Unit Planning Process, the Mosquito Control Program, and Five-Year Financial Plan.

Following the formal updates, the evening will transition into an open house format, featuring a variety of stations dedicated to specific projects and services.

These meetings are a valuable way for residents to learn more about current projects, and we encourage everyone to take part and gain a better understanding of how the 2026 budget breaks down in their area.

We look forward to seeing residents there for an evening of local updates.
