Kimberley Farmers’ Market returns with new programming
On Thursday evenings throughout the summer, community members and visitors of all ages come together at the Kimberley Farmers’ Market.
The market is a hub for fresh food from local farmers and food producers, crafts from local artisans, live music, and delicious food—all served up in downtown Kimberley on Thursdays from 5-7 p.m., June 18 to September 17.
This season, the market is expanding and coming alive in new ways. The market will be extending into the Platzl, activating the gazebo all summer long, and exploring programming at the Centre 64 outdoor stage… bringing even more music, performances, and interactive experiences into the heart of downtown!
“From weekly live music and hands-on activities to spontaneous moments of creativity and connection, every market is designed to be experienced, not just visited. This is a place to gather, linger, and enjoy the best of what our community has to offer,” said Sparta Humphreys, Kimberley Farmers’ Market Coordinator at Wildsight Kimberley/Cranbrook.
Community remains at the heart of this local event. Ideas for new programming and blossoming partnerships were born from the successful ‘Market Talks’ series designed to engage community members throughout April and May.
As the event continues to grow and evolve, fresh ideas and enthusiastic volunteers from the community are always welcome.
Humphreys added: “We want the market to be more than a place to shop. We want it to be a place where people feel connected and want to come back to every week. Kimberley has an incredible array of talented and passionate people, and the market is the perfect space to meet and make those connections every week.
“With all of us facing uncertainty and change, community matters more than ever. Bringing people together to celebrate local food, art, music, and each other, helps build the kind of resilient community that can weather challenges and thrive. So come be part of it!”
The Kimberley Farmers’ Market is hosted by Wildsight Kimberley/Cranbrook and a major part of their ongoing work to build a healthy, resilient, and connected community. Since 2014, it has grown into a place where people don’t just shop, they meet the people behind their food and goods, discover local talent, and feel part of something bigger.
