Obituary of Carolyn Frances Jerke

Carolyn Frances Jerke

Carolyn was born in Digby, Nova Scotia on March 21, 1947. In 1962 she moved with her family to Parson, BC and met Bob. Married for 61 years, Carolyn and Bob raised their children Kim, Keith and Wanda.

Carolyn was born to Carl and Agnes Morrell. In 1977, the family moved from Golden, first residing in Wycliffe before finally settling in Cranbrook.

Building their forever home, Carolyn found the most pleasure enjoying the acres of quiet, her gardens, the birds and wildlife and the peace of living out of town. She loved teaching her grandchildren to appreciate the beauty of being outdoors. A co-owner of Bear Lumber Ltd., she did everything from taking care of the family, tree planting, working at the mill and of course supporting every activity her children were involved in over the years. She enjoyed camping and boating and adventured from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean and all the way to the Arctic Ocean.

Carolyn is predeceased by her parents Carl and Agnes and siblings Carl Jr, Joan, Irene, Nelson, Alfred, Johnny, Laurie, Christine and Christopher.

Survived and loved by her husband Bob, sons Kim (Sara) and Keith and daughter Wanda (Corstiaan), grandchildren Devin, Hannah and Evan, and siblings Terry, Judy, Linda and Debbie as well as a very extended family.
