Bull Riding and VAD spice up Invermere weekend
Downtown Invermere was alive Friday night and Saturday (July 17/18) with the return of Bull Riding in the Rockies and Valley Appreciation Day.
Hard riding cowboys thrilled Friday night, trying to conquer bulls and hang in to the end with Mexican Poker during the 26th annual rodeo and Saturday morning the luring smell of pancakes drifting in the air launched another top-notch community gathering Saturday morning downtown.
Valley Appreciation Day has always been about community gathering and getting back in touch during the height of the busy summer season.
The Farmers’ Market also provided a wealth of vendors for visitors to stroll among, while a variety of sidebar events, including a Jail and Bail endeavour (pictured), were on hand to liven the experience.
