Tormented by thieves repeatedly rampaging through its heritage train car and engine collection, the Cranbrook History Centre is asking the public for help in identifying them.

“We are still being affected by break-ins, but the good news is that our security cameras have captured the individuals responsible,” the History Centre reported on social media August 12.

“For the past six months, these men have been breaking into our engines, taking things apart and vandalizing our property. This includes our beloved Booster Engine, which is part of our Comparative Tour. Due to their actions, we have had to close that car to the tour for the foreseeable future.

“If you recognize these individuals or see them in the act, please let us or the RCMP know. We need your help to protect our engines and the rest of our historic train collection from further vandalism.

“Thank you to everyone who continues to support us and help protect these important pieces of our history,” the History Centre stated.
