Countdown on to Kootenay Rockies Gran Fondo

On Saturday, September 12, riders from across the region and beyond will come together for the 11th annual Kootenay Rockies Gran Fondo and there’s still time to get your name on the start list.

If you’ve been thinking about joining us, this is the moment to commit, set your goal and start counting down to an unforgettable day of cycling through the Kootenays.

Choose Your Challenge

Piccolo – 58 km
A rewarding route for newer Fondo riders, recreational cyclists or anyone looking for a shorter challenge.

Medio – 102 km
The perfect middle distance, combining endurance, spectacular scenery and an incredible sense of accomplishment.

Gran – 152 km
The ultimate Kootenay cycling experience for riders ready to take on the full challenge.

No matter which route you choose, you can look forward to:

Spectacular Kootenay Rockies scenery;
Fully supported routes and aid stations;
Dedicated volunteers, mechanics and safety teams;
An incredible community of fellow cyclists;
A memorable finish-line celebration;
The satisfaction of supporting local charitable initiatives.

The Kootenay Rockies Gran Fondo is a ride, not a race. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, tackling your first Fondo or returning for another year, the day is about challenging yourself, enjoying the journey and sharing the experience with hundreds of fellow riders.

This year, the Rotary Club of Cranbrook Sunrise and JCI Kootenay have joined forces to deliver an even stronger rider experience while continuing the Fondo’s proud tradition as a 100% non-profit cycling event.

With only one month to go, the countdown is officially on.

There are still plenty of training rides ahead, but there’s no reason to leave your registration until the final kilometre.

Secure your place on the start line today.
