There were hundreds of cars and millions of dollars on display at the Columbia Valley Classics Car Show and Shine  on Saturday, Sept. 17. The annal event, staged on the driving range (no pun intended) at the Radium Springs Golf Course, featured cars and trucks of every make, model and era, along with a couple boats and a motorcycle.

The festivities included a pre-show meet and greet, a dinner/dance after the show and beer gardens during the ‘shine. In past years, participants often put their cars’ performance on display during an unsanctioned cruise around Radium and Invermere, often with some conducting brake stands when leaving the show area. However, the practice, which resulted in a car losing control last year, seems to have waned considerably.

Pushing limits challenging boundaries and then going a step beyond is all in a days work for Bram Rossman. A provincial and national award-winning photojournalist based in the Kootenay Rockies, Bram’s passion for the outdoors has led him and his many lenses up mountains down rivers and through snow storms in an on going quest for outstanding images of the people and places around him.
