Clarence passed while rocking to the song wipeout, performed by the 1994 Grade 5 Marysville Band!

Clarence and Carole arrived in Kimberley in 1963 on their honeymoon. They never left! In 1965 they had their son, Rod. Clarence taught school at Watkins, he was the principal at Blarchmont School until 1992 and then taught music at Marysville School until 1995. Clarence’s love of music was unequaled. He especially loved to teach children music. Clarence did not read music, he played by ear. He taught all his students to play by ear at Marysville. The Marysville School Bands are quite infamous, grade 4 & 5 students playing rock songs, switching instruments, and displaying unprecedented talent.

Clarence played music at The Pines and Gardenview for many years. He always believed that music could heal. He played accordion at the train station where he loved to meet people from all over the world.

Clarence loved family, from reunions to sing-a-longs and Christmas, he loved them all. He was always so happy to be with family.

Clarence will be missed by many and considered a true gentleman of the community.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Kimberley. Interment will follow in the Kimberley Cemetery.
