ʔaq̓am Community is hosting Orange Shirt Day Sept. 30, part of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation ceremonies.

The event, which begins at 10 a.m. at St. Eugene Golf Resort and Casino (7777 Mission Road), fill feature guest speakers, a commemorative walk and lunch.

Please join us on September 30, to honour the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.

Show your support by hearing the stories, making the walk and wearing orange.

We gather at 10 a.m. on the lawn in front of the St. Eugene Mission, the former residential school.

We will gather for lunch at the Dan Joe Memorial Gym following the walk.

Everyone is welcome. Bring a chair if needed. No animals.
