Can you imagine being such an asshole that you’d dress all in black, cover your face like a shrieking coward and gather with a bunch of your equally mentally and sexually repressed pals on or near a First Nation community and vomit your denial of residential school atrocities?
And do it right before the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. That is some special, next level asshole behaviour right there.
Hey men out there… real men, the types of who don’t take crap nor talk crap; remember when loud-mouthed assholes used to know their place?
If buddy started getting vigorous with his ugly stupidity, other buddies would inform him he best shut the F*** up or they’ll shut him the f*** up. And if said buddy didn’t shut up, he’d learn a hard and painful lesson.
Social media sloppiness and detachment and the rise of so-called political movements such as Donald Judas Trump’s MAGA or the equally moronic Maple MAGA movement, from which that recent ‘demonstration’ emerged, has emboldened these assholes.
And it is time to send them back to the shadows.
Nazis and extremists only function in packs due to the rancid form of cowardice that flows through their veins.
They know they are freaks on the fringe. They know they can’t get laid and therefor lash out angrily. They know they’re the least intelligent in the room and barking male egoism forces them to beat their chests whenever an alpha male is absent. They know they are momma’s boys who only want to be cuddled and told they are super-duper and always right but because they are so ugly within the only cuddling they get is shared rage with their ‘brothers and sisters in hate.’
They don’t know they are sociopathic. Their lack of empathy leads them to despise “woke” people because they know they are wrong but they can never admit it so they lash out by flinging verbal saws perpetuated by the racist, misogynistic ‘mentors‘ who showed them the way to Asshole Town in the first place.
They are spoiled little boys (and girls) who always seek to get their way, usually through deceit. They are remorseless and impulsive – a nasty combination.
They are the quintessential “me me me” jerks who usually bring down a gathering or a party by mis-reading the room and injecting hate and ugliness to it.
And above it all they are pathetic cowards. If the group who showed up at the Pacific Way overpass above the Trans-Canada Highway in Kamloops on Sept. 27 had shown their faces, I would not be writing this. Their message and actions were wrong but in this nation we still have the right to freedoms of speech and public demonstration, right or wrong.
Ironic isn’t it? The same nitwits who raged against the vaccination machine during the pandemic and bellow like tubas with ducks stuck in them that Sharia law is being rammed down their throats are now embracing face-wear.
If only they’d embrace literacy or perhaps sky diving without parachutes, we’d all be so much better off.
Shortly after these wincing weak sacks of hatred had their public hissy fit, members of the Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc Nation gathered at the same bridge to showcase the above message.
I completely agree.
It saddens me that I am writing this on this day – September 30.
It makes me feel like our society is not progressing beyond the lamentable ignorance and fear-induced hatred of the past. But I also know most British Columbians and Canadians are sickened by this most recent public display of the vile cowardice of white supremacy.
On this Day for Truth and Reconciliation, I say to my First Nations sisters and brothers, I stand with you and will always stand with you and I thank you. For if not for our First Nations sisters’ and brothers’ ancestors, we would be American.
The reason Canada was not conquered by the Americans during the War of 1812 was our First Nations allies, from above AND below the 49th. Well, that and basic American arrogance, ignorance and greed.
And to all who were sickened and angered by this soulless demonstration, make them hear you and let them see you. Call them down. Get in their grills should such assholes appear in your community.
Silence and inaction are what bullies and cowards bank on. They are terrified of noisy opposition and action – hence the masks.
And the wearing of masks is proof they know they are wrong.
