Bruce Cockburn returning to Cranbrook in 2027
Legendary Canadian recording artist Bruce Cockburn is returning to Cranbrook’s Key City Theatre on April 13, 2027.
Bruce Cockburn has enjoyed an illustrious career shaped by politics, spirituality, and musical diversity. His remarkable journey has seen him embrace folk, jazz, rock, and worldbeat styles while earning high praise as a prolific, inspired songwriter and accomplished guitarist.
On all his albums, Cockburn, 81, has deftly captured the joy, pain, fear, and faith of human experience in song.
With the environment and justice common themes in his songs, it should come as no surprise that 18 years ago today, Cockburn headlined the Jumbo Wild Benefit Concert at Fort Steele’s Wild Horse Theatre on Oct. 2, 2008.
His last performance in the region was in 2019.
The 13-time Juno Award winner and Order of Canada recipient has released 29 albums spanning back to 1970, with LP number 30, Yellow Dog Blues, due out soon.
Tickets went on sale today, Friday, October 2 at 10 a.m.
