It is with sadness and love that we share the passing of Donna McKenzie on September 16, 2026, at the Green Home in Cranbrook. She left this life peacefully, surrounded by her family.

Born in Fernie, BC, on May 3, 1939, her faith guided her life, and her family was her greatest joy. She had a kind and caring heart; on several occasions she opened her home to those in need, offering them love and support. She loved spending time at Rosen Lake where the summers were filled with camping, laughter, family, and food; she loved to cook. Her favourite saying was “eat up, there is not enough to save!” Her and Jim enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona, where they met many good friends.

Mom, Grandma, and Nanny will be missed by her children Marny (Dave), Donald (Natalie), her grandchildren Gord (Tina), Mike (Michelle), Tim (Taylor), Zoé, Chelsey (Curt), Sydney (Jonn), Her great grandchildren Calissa, Brooklyn, Braiden, Cora, Duke, Jude, Harlowe and Kinsley, and her many friends and extended family.

A big thank you to all the great staff at the Green Home!

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2027, at Rosen Lake.
