It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.

Carole was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C. and moved to Cranbrook, B.C. in 1979 to join her sister.

She worked various jobs with the provincial government and, retiring from Interior Health, where she worked for over twenty years, making many lifelong friends.

She is predeceased by her parents, Hugh and Shirley Doherty, and her long-time friend, Lloyd (Wimpy) Lode.

Carole is survived by her sister, Sharon Claydon (Howard), her nephews Darin Jensen and Kurt Jensen (Jessie), whom she loved like her own children. She is also survived by her great nephews Jack Jensen and Kaleb Jensen, great niece Lily Jensen, and her best friend Linda.

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Cranbrook Regional Hospital for the care given to Carole during her short stay.

There will be no service as per Carole’s wishes. The family will have a private gathering at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
