The following is a summary of School District No. 5 School Board of Trustees’ motions carried during the April 9 board meeting held in Cranbrook.

Advocacy

That the Board send a letter to SD23 outlining the Board’s reaction to their letter of March 5.

Policy

That Policy 3.14 Fernie Alternate School be sent to the Board of Education for deletion.

General

That the Board send a formal congratulations to Mike McEvoy as President of the Canadian School Boards Association.

First reading of the Annual Budget Bylaw. (Three readings of the bylaw must be completed prior to the end of June).
