Fee for Service
District of Invermere council April 23 authorized the execution of the agreement for Lake Windermere Ambassadors in the amount of $10,000 for 2013 and 2014.
Bylaws
– Council adopted Parks and Facilities Regulation Amendment Bylaw No. 1466.
– 2013 Tax Rates Bylaw No. 1470, Water Improvements 2008 Parcel Tax Amendment Bylaw No. 1467, Water Supply Upgrade Parcel Tax Amendment Bylaw No. 1468, Sewage Treatment Works Parcel Tax Amendment Bylaw No. 1469 received three readings.
Amendment to MNAP Licence of Occupation
Council authorized the execution of the amended Licence of Occupation for Mount Nelson Athletic Park in order to expand the licenced area to permit a bike pump track to be constructed.
Economic Development Actions 2013
Council authorized the following Economic Development Actions:
1. Hiring of a contract Events Coordinator for a one-year term;
2. Completion of the way finding and interpretive signage program;
3. Completion of Cenotaph Park;
Cenotaph Park Revitalization
Council authorized the revitalization of Cenotaph Park including the physical closure of 12th Street to facilitate construction of Phase 1. The project will be funded by the Resort Municipality Initiative 2013 allocation, Roads Development Cost Charge reserves and the Community Works Fund.
