Petunia rolling into Invermere
Music fans in Invermere are in for a treat May 20 when Petunia rolls into town for a one night show at The Station Pub in Invermere.
Petunia and his crack band The Vipers recently slaughtered L.A. and the US West Coast this past month, with attention from an array of media from the most local blog to Extra! TV.
The touring boundaries of this roving rogue have expanded this year, to previously unexplored areas in the U.S. and Europe, causing raucous dance parties and thrilling audiences with his edgy punk-rockabilly-traditional country.
But, the prairie favorite still hits up his usual haunts, and will also be playing several festivals across Western Canada this summer, including Harrison Festival for the Arts, South Country Fair, Ness Creek Music Festival, Pembina River Nights, and Trout Forest Music Festival.
But first, be dazzled by a solo show across B.C. and Alberta in May and June.
Phil Alvin (The Blasters) calls the band: “One of my favorite bands to see and play with” and Bob Harris of the BBC calls the acclaimed self-titled album, a “Hybrid musical style…edge of punk appreciation…this is an amazing album…a whole range of different styles.”
Come out to a show and see why the musical peers of Petunia & The Vipers say, “That’s not a band. It’s another world.” (Jonathan Byrd)
