Search on for two men west of the Flats
Invermere, Kimberley and Cranbrook search and rescue units are searching for a possible Columbia Valley resident and an Alberta resident between Whitetail Lake and Canal Flats.
Kimberley Search and Rescue (KSR) issued a public help announcement in a search for two missing males at about noon on June 9.
KSR reports the 18 and 21-year-old males were last seen around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon (June 8) after leaving a campsite near Whitetail Lake (26 km from Canal Flats). They were driving a red Chevy pick-up truck with mag tires, a low profile, a regular cab with Alberta license plates.
One of the young men is believed to be from the Columbia Valley, while the other is from Alberta.
Authorities are asking that anyone with any information about the two males’ whereabouts or anyone who has seen them are asked to call 9-1-1 as soon as possible.
