On the night of August 26, the new ‘Den’ of the Fairmont & District Lions Club played host to East Kootenay Foundation for Health with Donna Grainger, Executive Director and Cindy Yates (past EKFH director) stopping in for a visit and a gift presentation.

“What an honour it is to see another great project by the Lions Club, the new Den is wonderful and I am sure it is going to make a very positive impact in the community.  For EKFH the continued support of our fundraising efforts continues to be such a remarkable relationship between us and the Lions Club,” states Grainger.

Over the past decade the Lions have provided many gifts ($36,260 to date) to the regional hospital foundation helping to purchase medical equipment for both the Invermere & District Hospital and the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
