Jaffray Fall Fair begins Friday the 13th

The annual Jaffray Fall Fair gets rolling on lucky Friday the 13th and the fun continues until Sunday, Sept. 15.

With the theme ‘Where family and friends gather,’ the fair gets rolling, literally, Friday evening at 5 p.m. at the Jaffray Community Hall with the Fear Factor Car Rally.

Saturday begins with the Fun Run at 8 a.m. and the Lady Lions Pancake Breakfast, with the Farmers Market starting at 9 a.m. and going to 4 p.m.

The annual parade begins at 11:30 a.m. and the fair, featuring plenty of kids games and bike races and tons more, starts at noon.

Also on Saturday, the Jaffray-Baynes Lake Fire Departments are hosting an open House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The day winds up with the Jaffray Community Club and local Grade 10 students hosting the annual dinner and dance.

Sunday features bingo at the community hall and the Duck Race on Sand Creek. Watch for the duck in the parade and at the fair grounds on Saturday to enter a duck and vie for prizes. Funds raised benefit the community.

According to the Jaffray Community Club Facebook page, volunteers are still required to help stage the multi-faceted weekend event.

“I need volunteers for the bench show judging, the information /ticket table on Saturday, the bouncy castle and also the front door taking tickets during the dinner and dance. PLEASE PLEASE text me if you can help in any way! 250-464-0205.”
