EKRH Food Services thanks the ‘Stars’

Last week East Kootenay Foundation for Health’s mission to provide funding for the East Kootenay Regional Hospital and other facilities in complementing the health care needs of the region celebrated the arrival of 44 overbed tables at the regional hospital.

Virginia Evans of EKRH Food Services and Donna Grainger welcome the arrival of new overbed tables.

“This is a fantastic example of what unrestricted funds given during last year’s Starlite Campaign can do to enhance patient care. EKFH was thrilled to designate $9,500 of those unrestricted funds to purchase new overbed tables for the Food Services Department in Cranbrook,” shares EKFH’s Donna Grainger.

The second and third floors will each receive 22 tables for patient use. The new tables are easily wiped and offer a larger space for food trays and patient items.

Public support of the annual Starlite Campaign can and does make a difference for many departments whose needs may be different than large medical equipment. The 2013 Starlite Campaign will launch again this November. An unrestricted gift allows the EKFH Board of Directors to determine the funding allocation of the gift.   If you want to get a head start with the holiday spirit, EKFH is gladly accepting Starlite donations through its on-line secured website wwww.ekfh.ca.
