District of Sparwood council formally recognized and congratulated members of the Sparwood Secondary School B.C. Champion High School Snowboarding team at the outset of their June 20 regular meeting.

Members of the winning team are: Tanner Sheremeta, Tyler Punk, Michael

Hutchinson, Steven Bewski, Jay Marshall, Brody Leduc and Coach Claire Pinette.

Tanner Sheremeta also placed first overall at the event, held at Kimberley Alpine Resort in mid February.
