Discoloured water likely after line flush
Some City of Cranbrook residents may be noticing discolouration of their water.
On Tuesday (May 6), City of Cranbrook Public Works water crews flushed the high-pressure water line that runs from pressure reducing station one across the top of Park Royal over to pressure reducing station number nine on Echo Field Road.
“The flushing was conducted to clear small rocks and other debris out of the water line. As a result residents may notice some increased cloudiness in the water over the next couple of days, as the line clears,” explained Chris Zettel, Corporate Communications Officer for the City of Cranbrook.
Discoloured water is not considered a health risk, he added.
If you experience discoloured water coming from your taps, please simply run the cold water tap until the water runs clear.
