Forty people gathered in the rain on Saturday, May 10 at Triangle Park in Townsite for a block party hosted by Wildsight in Kimberley as part of the Defend our Climate, Defend our Communities national day of action.

They joined more than 10,000 across the country coming together to send a message to their government against more pipelines, tankers, and dirty oil and for positive action on climate change. A petition calling on Prime Minister Stephen Harper to take real action on climate change was circulated.
