Strong local lake Tie for winning wakeboarders
Three local wakeboarders made a big impression last weekend at the first tournament stop on the Alberta Wake Tour.
The event, presented by Water Ski & Wakeboard Alberta, was held at Chestermere Lake northeast of Calgary and featured riders from all three western provinces.
Cranbrook’s Colden Thompson took first place overall in the tournament, winning the Open Division; brothers Dagen and Ryder Duczek took first and second respectively in the U-11 Division.
Thompson will look for his second win of the season this coming weekend as the tour makes a stop in Pine Lake, Alberta.
