Since it is the season of suds, here is some ‘beery’ good news from the Elk River Alliance. Above photo: Lanka Hawrys (right) from Fernie Brewing Company (FBC) makes a donation of $740.18 to Lee-Anne Walker from the Elk River Alliance (ERA).

As part of the FBC Cheers to Charity! Program, money was raised from April to June from the tasting sample paddles at their brewery in Fernie.

“This donation will be used to sponsor ERA’s community-based water monitoring program on Lizard Creek near Fernie and Alexander Creek east of Sparwood,” says Walker.
