As spring is getting closer we are trying to make this season one of the best. To make this happen we are in need of some more volunteers.

We need: group ride leaders for Thursday night group rides at the green level, a good knowledge of the community forest trails would be an asset. Also we are trying to get a first aid course for anybody who wants to lead a group ride as well as anyone who is interested.

We need: coordinators for the Fiver races. There is going to be four of these races, and we will have a checklist to help with this. We need someone for August 19 as well we need volunteers to help out the coordinators in various positions.

We need: coordinators for day trips responsible for meeting, organizing carpooling, email and Facebook reminder, bringing first aid kits, direct people on trail choice, post picture/highlights after –  dates July 15 Spirit Trail (Fairmont Hot Springs) August 12  Mad Cow, Swine Flu (Fernie).

We also need volunteers/coordinators for Sam Steele Parade entry June 16; Round the Mountain June 24 – Volunteers, a really fun event in Kimberley at the ski hill; Rails to Trails Poker Run Volunteers Sept. 9; and Six in the Stixs Sept. 23.

It seems like a lot of things to cover, but I know that we can do it. The more people we get helping out the less time consuming it is for everyone else, which means more riding time.
