Deer cull injunction denied
The District of Invermere deer cull is back on.
The B.C. Supreme Court Feb. 24 ruled against the Invermere Deer Protection Organization’s civil suit against the district and its plans to cull 100 urban deer as per a provincial government permit, which expires March 15.
“The cull will now proceed as approved by the Province of British Columbia,” stated Invermere Mayor Gerry Taft to e-KNOW. “The District of Invermere intends to recover legal costs and will fight any potential appeal.”
