Man arrested following suspicious activity
Today (July 21), at approximately 3:30 p.m., Cranbrook RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious male at Rotary Park.
The male subject was in the change room and is alleged to have made comments to a male child about being a police officer. The child exited the change room (pictured) and was able to run by the male and get to his father.
Police immediately responded to the area and within minutes located the suspect and took him into custody. The male subject remains in police custody while police conduct a follow up investigation. Police are satisfied this individual was acting alone and there is no safety concerns for the public at this time.
