Youth Stock returns to Platzl for third year
The L.E.E.S. Learning Centre & Spark Youth Drop In are planning to stage a third Youth Stock musical event on Saturday, June 16 at Kimberley’s Platzl bandstand.
“Youth Bands , singers and DJs up to the age 25 can compete for cash prizes,” noted Bev Middlebrook, executive director at the Centre of Opportunity (pictured above).
“It should be interesting. Last year was amazing talent,” she added.
With that in mind, the call is out to all youth bands, singers and DJs to sign up to perform. Only 10 spots are available so don’t delay signing up. To do so, call Bev at 250-427-7017 or [email protected].
There will be cash prizes for first, second and third place performers ($500, $300 and $200) from the free drug and alcohol free event, which runs from 2-7 p.m. June 16.
Travel funds for long distance may be provided.
