1. The government is working to modernize B.C.’s wildlife management systems. One of these updates will be the movement of the limited-entry hunt system to an online platform for the Fall 2016 draw.

2. The Minister of Forests, Land, and Natural Resource Operations has also committed to a moose enhancement strategy that will focus on growing more moose in B.C.

3. The strategy will build on the interim findings of an ongoing research project into B.C.’s moose populations. As part of this study, scientists are monitoring over 200 cow moose with radio collars to track their movements and, where applicable, deaths and their causes.
