Donna Patricia McLAUGHLIN

Supported by her loved ones, Donna Patricia McLaughlin passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 27th at the age of 80 years. She was born in Winnipeg, MB on July 29, 1938.

Donna was a good spirited and pleasant woman who had a passion for books. She enjoyed a good novel and spent time volunteering at the Sparwood Public Library. Donna also loved her cats; her home was a feline heaven and there was always a houseful to keep her busy! Donna embraced life’s simple pleasures and found peace in the beautiful mountains of the Elk Valley. She moved to Sparwood 30 years ago, quickly falling in love with its quaint small-town charm.

Donna will be missed by her dear friends Lily Bowers and Jim Bertoia as well as the many others who came to know and love her. Donna is survived by her children: Katherine Hale (Pete Chartrand), Ken Hale, Deborah Hale and Steven Hale (Martha Banwell); 4 precious grandchildren: Amanda, Stephanie, Rebecca and Jesse, her sisters Gayle (Ron) Myers, Heather (Ned) Perry, and Tanis McLaughlin (Robert Grey), nephew Gregory and her niece Laura. She was predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Marie McLaughlin.

Services will be held in Windsor, ON at a later date.
