Anne Doris Patton

February 12, 1920 – June 5, 2019
Anne (Anna) Doris Patton (born Ukrainetz) aged 99 years, passed away peacefully at Joseph Creek Care Village Cranbrook, BC after a short illness on Wednesday June 5, 2019.

Anne was born in Coleman, Alberta in 1920 to Mike and Annie (Palacek) Ukrainetz and grew up in Cranbrook. She was one of 6 children. Anne married Walter Graham (Hammie) Patton in 1939 in Blairmore, Alta. She raised 2 boys, was a fastidious homemaker and loved hosting her extended family for homecooked meals. [She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and spent time curling when she wasn’t helping her parents in their various cafes and restaurants. Later she worked hard assisting Hammie in running their service station business. Prior to her retirement, she spent many years working in ladies wear in Cranbrook.] ?

Anne is survived by her son Don (Carol) Cranbrook, daughters-in-law, Cathy , Cranbrook and Carol, Columbia Falls, MT. 7 grandchildren, Sheril Patton, Cranbrook, Lee-Ann (Norman) Pighin, Wycliffe, Debbie (Tony) Pighin, Ft. Steele, Ian (Sara) Patton, Vancouver, Mike (Katie) Patton, Edmonton, AB, Christopher Patton, Calgary, AB, Kari Moran Patton, Columbia Falls, MT. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives throughout the western provinces and states. Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband Hammie, her son Fred, her parents Dmitri (Mike) and Annie Ukrainetz (nee Palacek); brothers Milton (Met), Rudy (infant) sisters Kaye, Helen, and Millie.

As per Anne’s wishes, A private family gathering, and interment will take place in Cranbrook where she will rest next to her husband Hammie.
