Obituary for Bruce Tooze

Bruce Tooze

1956 – 2019

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, brother and uncle, Bruce Tooze on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook.

Bruce was born in Creston on February 19, 1956 and grew up in Kimberley. He apprenticed at Cominco as a Lineman and then went to Arrow Installations as a journeyman. From there he went to BC Hydro in Vancouver as a Transmission Lineman.

He made his way back to Kimberley via Golden and ended up working in Cranbrook as a Distribution Sub-Foreman Lineman where he met his wife Cindy.

He leaves to mourn him his wife Cindy; his brothers and sisters Larry (Zoie), Don (Linda), Linda (Jim), Marilyn (Rick) and Penny (Sheen); his nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and his numerous friends and coworkers.

He was predeceased by his parents Earl and Delores; his sister Diann and her husband Randy and his nephew Bill.

Bruce’s easy demeanor and his love of laughter endeared him to all who knew, met and loved him. He was always quick to lend a helping hand to those who needed it and always had a sparkle in his eye.

A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held on Saturday, January 12th, 2019 at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Bruce’s honour to the BC Cancer Society.
