Anna was born April 28, 1933 in Azuga, Romania and passed away June 21, 2026 in Invermere, BC at the age of 93.

Everyone knew Anna. She was an iconic character, seen walking around town with her bright pink jacket, pulling her cart and saying hi to all she met, whether she knew them or not. She had a smile for everyone. She loved to cook and spent a lot of time shopping at AG Foods, and also loved to spend time at Columbia House with the daycare program, listening to music & playing games and enjoying the company.

She did not talk a lot, but she took in her surroundings with joy. She loved going to family gatherings, and being entertained by everyone’s stories.

She would contribute at times with a family history lesson and a bag of bread sticks made lovingly by her. She will be sorely missed and remembered with love often.

Survived by sister Waltraud Turski, Brothers Siegi (Fran) Hromadnik; Adolf (Bev) Hromadnik; sister Heidi Tegart and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents Anna & Josef Hromadnik; Sisters Louise Kuchlmayr and Erika Bretschneider.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Columbia House.

A service will be held on Sunday September 13, 2026 at 12:30pm at the Royal Canadian Legion #71 in Invermere, British Columbia.
