Cynthia Denise MacEwen Bossio

Cindy passed away peacefully on January 1, 2022 at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, Cranbrook, B.C.

She was born in Summerside, PEI on December 12, 1958, and spent her early years in New London, PEI.

Cindy was a graduate of UPEI (BA and BSc) and also completed a TESOL Program. She moved to Cranbrook in 1990 and was employed as a Registered Dietitian with Interior Health.

Cindy loved to travel and visited many places including Europe, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii and Florida. However she always considered PEI as her home and she visited PEI every summer until 2019. Her greatest joys in life were becoming a mother and spending time with her family and her friends. Cindy was a kind and loyal friend to many.

She was predeceased by her parents William (Billy) and Neva (Heckbert) MacEwen of New London and Kensington, PEI.

Cindy is survived by her husband Kirk Bossio of Jaffray, B.C and their daughter Malia Bossio; her brother Derek MacEwen (Nancy Yeo) Stratford, PEI; her sister Heather (Brian) MacNeil Cornwall, PEI; and her aunt Avila MacEwen, Clinton, PEI, her sister-in-law Shelley (Chris) Moulton, Fernie, B.C; nephews Tyler and Ryan MacNeil and Michael MacEwen; her niece Taylor Moulton and cousins Sue Mill, Gerald Mill, and Jan Francis.

Due to Covid-19, Memorial Service information will be announced at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Ovarian Cancer Canada or to St. John’s Presbyterian Church, New London, PEI.
