Ingrid Egger-Steppan

Ingrid Egger Steppan passed away on June 22, 2021, at the age of 60. She was born in Vancouver, B.C., May 29, 1961, later celebrating a rebirth on April 11, 2014, after receiving a Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant for a rare disease called Stiff Person Syndrome. Ingrid requested no service; however, she would ask that each of you stand up and fight for yourselves, in whatever that fight may be. She was a true warrior in self advocacy and tried to always empower others forward in life. Most often without pause or regard for how best to do so. She had a way of making each person feel special to her. Listen closely for Ingrid singing “You are My Sunshine” in the whispers of the wind.

Ingrid is survived by her children Kyla, Mikie, Kobyn, Amanda, Keesha, Austin their spouses Dakota, Stephen and Blake, as well as her grandchildren, Navarra and Alex, her brother Uli and mother Frigga, and her beloved husband Alain, who gave himself completely to her.
