Obituary of Jacqueline Diane O’Bryan

Jacqueline Diane O’Bryan

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our loving mother, “Nana J,” on August 10, 2026.

Jacqueline was born in Revelstoke on June 8, 1964. Like her mother, she had a passion and flair for cooking, which led her to a busy career in the culinary world.

She was incredibly proud of each of her children and cherished the time she spent with them and their families.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed many hobbies and simple pleasures, including gardening, bush cruising, listening to the birds, and sitting beside the crackle of a campfire or the sound of a creek. Creating delicious meals was one of her specialties, and she volunteered to host many family and friends’ gatherings.

Jacqueline loved giving gifts to the people she cared about. Even when they told her not to buy them anything, she simply adored finding something special for others.

Another great love in her life was her beloved fur babies; Cloe, Pepper, Maggie, and Shilo. They brought her endless companionship, comfort, and joy, and held a very special place in her heart.

She completed her final wish of passing without intervention.

There are not enough words to express the depth of emotion we feel for the time we had with our mother. We will forever hold the good memories we shared with her close to our hearts, and carry her love with us always.

We are forever grateful to Steve for the love, compassion, and unwavering care he gave our mother throughout the most difficult part of her life. His presence, kindness, and dedication meant more to us than words can express, and for that, we will always carry a deep sense of gratitude in our hearts.

Jacqueline is survived by her partner and soulmate, Steve; her parents Jack and Sharon, her siblings, Raylene, David, and Sean; her children, Laurence, Brenna, Dana, and Cameron; and her grandchildren, Anomantia, Furia, Kessel, Excalibur, Alyssa, Metteya, Marlee, Mckenzie, Weston, Levi, Olivia, Cynthia, Patrick, and Avery. She will also be lovingly remembered by her cousins, extended family, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
