It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mom, grandma, sister, and friend, Jean Harris, who passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born on January 23, 1950, in Melfort, Saskatchewan, Jean lived a life filled with love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the heart of our home, the one we turned to for comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love. Her greatest joy was caring for those she loved.

Jean is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 54 years, Gordon Harris; her children, Shawn Harris (Karen) and Kailyn Slenders (William); and her cherished grandchildren, Adria, Karissa, Nolan, Tobias, and Meira. She is also survived by her brothers, Ray, Ken, and Barry, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, David and Irine, her son Shane, and her siblings, Vern, Terry, and Joyce.

As her daughter wrote, “You were my first home, my safe place, my biggest cheerleader, my voice of reason, and my best friend.” Those words reflect how deeply she was loved by all who knew her.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the love she gave so freely and the memories we will carry forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with family.
