Obituary of Judith Marilynn Gall
Judith Marilynn Gall
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judith Marilyn Gall, affectionately known as Judy.
Judy was born in Nampa, Alberta, on January 21, 1946, the youngest child of Charles and Mary Gall. She grew up in the Nampa and Peace River area with her older brother, Kenneth.
Her journey began in Nampa and Peace River, took her to Edmonton, and eventually brought her to Cranbrook, where she spent many years building a life, a career, and lasting friendships.
After beginning her career in Edmonton, Judy moved to Cranbrook, British Columbia, where she made her home and spent the majority of her professional life. Nursing was an important part of who Judy was, and she cared deeply about the people she served and the community in which she lived.
Judy enjoyed an active life outside of work. She was a lifelong sports fan and, in her younger years, played fastball. She particularly enjoyed curling, golf, and baseball and followed sports closely throughout her life. She also enjoyed travelling, including trips with friends to Phoenix for spring training, cruises, and travels to Alaska, Europe, Indonesia, Mexico, and the Kentucky Derby.
Judy was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Mary Gall, her brother, Kenneth Charles Gall, and her sister-in-law, Susan Gall.
She leaves behind nephew Chris Gall (Kelly), and her niece Kendra Sexsmith (Curtis), many nieces and nephews and family and friends.
Judy will be remembered by her family and friends for her independent spirit, determination, generosity, love of sports and travel, and the many years she devoted to nursing and caring for others.
She will be missed by her family, friends, former colleagues, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A Memorial Mass will be held for Judy on Thursday September 24, 2026, at 11 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Parish in Cranbrook, B.C. with interment and reception to follow.

Rest peacefully, Judy.
