Obituary of Louise Ethel Fiddler (Allen)

Louise Ethel Fiddler (Allen)

February 23, 1939 – April 5, 2022

It is with deep sadness that we need to announce the passing of our Mother, Louise Fiddler on April 5th,2022.

Mom passed away peacefully in care at The Green Home, with her daughters by her side. Mom will soon meet up again with Dad, Ted Fiddler. She leaves behind her adult children, Stanley (Melody) McKenzie, Suzanne (Cole) Fiddler, Sharon (Russel) Penney and Sheila (Ken) Hansen. Mom adored her grandchildren and was so proud to be a grandmother as well. Louise is also survived by her sister, and best friend, Cecillia (Jim) McKenna and brother Joe (Robin) Devoe.

Louise was born on February 23, 1939 in Port Arthur, Ontario (now Thunder Bay).

On November 16, 1957 she married Ted in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. In November 1969, they moved to Kimberley with their four children. After Ted retired from CFI, Ted and Louise moved to Cranbrook. Mom loved to volunteer at Fort Steele, the Cranbrook Food Bank and serving meals at Christmas. The family extends warm gratitude to Marylyn for becoming a good friend of Mom’s. We also wish to thank home support, Joseph Creek health care staff and all the staff at the Dr. F.W. Green Memorial Home.

There will be a Celebration of Life at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Saturday April 9th at 10:00 am.
Afterwards, Mom’s ashes will be placed at Serenity Gardens to rest beside her husband for eternity.
