Obituary of Ramona Gale Lister

Ramona “NA”  Gale Lister

It is with deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Ramona Gale Lister, who left us on Jan. 20, 2026. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and she especially brought joy to those who called her “NA”.

Ramona “NA” had a heart that seemed to make room for everyone. To her grandkids and chosen family, she was simply “NA”, a source of warmth, laughter, comfort and unconditional love. Her presence made people feel safe, cared for, and truly seen.

She found joy in the outdoors and lived life with energy and curiosity. She especially loved swimming, gardening, paddle boarding and traveling. She was always happiest when near water, surrounded by nature, or sharing new experiences with those she loved.

Ramona dedicated 36 years of her life to the BC Ambulance service, serving her community with courage, compassion and resilience. Helping others was not just her profession, but part of who she was. She touched countless lives through her service and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion and strength.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her generosity, her adventurous spirit, and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She is Survived by her partner – Bob Johnson, Son – Blair Steiner (Karma), Daughter – Tanya Klimchuk (Shawn), Father – Bob Lister (Sylvia), Brother – Robert Lister (Marie), Grandkids – Kaydence, Trypp, Kammy, Chayse and Katherine, along with numerous other family members.

Ramona was predeceased by her Mother – Jeraldine (Jerry) Lister and Brother – Billy Lister.

We’ll be getting together on July 11, 2026, from 1–4 pm at 645 McDonald Road, Cranbrook, to celebrate Ramona’s life. If you knew her—whether for a moment or a lifetime—you’re welcome to join us. Come share a story, a laugh, or simply be present with others who loved her. It’s a simple gathering, but one filled with the warmth, kindness, and spirit she brought into our lives.
