Richard “Rick” Harold Daniels, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on May 25, 2026, after a short battle with cancer.

Rick was born August 31, 1948, in Glenwood, Minnesota, to Harold and Jean Daniels. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; his children Jeff (Jennifer), Heather (Marc), Ana (Louis), and Brea (Chris); his 96 year old father, seven siblings—Carol, David, Dennis, Debbie, Dan, Dana, and Dawn; fifteen grandchildren; seven great‑grandchildren; and a blended family of stepchildren and step‑grandchildren who also loved him dearly.

A lifelong entrepreneur, Rick owned several businesses over the years and was always eager to help customers with their questions and needs—often at all hours of the day or night.

Rick was known for his mild manner, and his kind and gentle heart. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and cherished time spent with family and friends. Some of his happiest moments were quiet evenings watching old movies, wiener roasts with family and friends, hunting and fishing trips, and hiking in the mountains with his grandsons.

A devoted disciple of Jesus Christ, Rick served faithfully in many callings within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, offering his best in every assignment.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Cranbrook.
