Sheena Verna GANCI-BAUER
Sheena Verna Ganci-Bauer, age 37, passed away September 17th, 2026, in Elkford, BC. Sheena was born on January 5th, 1989, in Sparwood, BC.
Sheena will be lovingly remembered by her beautiful children, Easton, Georgia, and Bronson; her loving parents, Bruce and Phyllis Bauer; and her siblings, Travis (Rebecca), Chelsea (Tore) and Chase (Danielle). She will also be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews: Ryker, Taya, Cooper, Wylder, Wyatt, Stetson, and Ledger, as well as her many aunts and uncles, cousins, and extended family.
Sheena was incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by such a large and loving family. Each and every person held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the time she spent with them.
Sheena was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Wilfred (Lyle) Sollows; her paternal grandmother, Eleanor Bauer; and her paternal grandfather, Joe Bauer Sr.
Sheena’s greatest joy in life came from being with her family. She loved fiercely, lived spontaneously, and embraced every adventure life brought her. She had a deep love for the outdoors that she shared with her children, creating countless memories together while staying active, enjoying nature, and embracing life’s simple adventures. She found her greatest sense of peace by the river, line in the water and surrounded by the people she loved. She also loved exploring new places, always walking, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, or simply enjoying wherever she happened to be.
Sheena’s love, laughter, adventurous spirit, and fierce devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
A viewing for family only will be held on Tuesday, September 29th at 1:00 PM

The Bauer family would like to express a sincere and heartfelt thank-you to the people near and far, and the community of Elkford. The generosity, kindness, and compassion shown to our family during this incredibly difficult time has meant more than words can express and will never be forgotten.
