Obituary of Walter Albert Archer
Walter Albert Archer
Wally Archer was born on July 16th, 1940, and raised hell in this Valley ever since until his last breath on September 8th, 2026. He knew if you didn’t run the town, it would run you. If you ever needed life advice – or even if you didn’t – Wally freely gave his wisdom. Doctor, lawyer, electrician, plumber, carpenter, and veterinarian were only a few hats he hung on his wall – and if he couldn’t fix it – crazy glue or WD40 surely would. His love for the mountains, fishing, and logging had him spending many years guiding on horseback, falling trees, and fishing the streams. He had a deep profound respect for animals and always lived one with nature – bugs included.
Wally communicated the love for his family with few words, but rather his steady and unwavering presence. If you needed him – his sofa couch was up for grabs for any life lesson you needed – how to parallel park, milk a cow, tie a fly or distill some shine – Wally knew it all. He lived life humbly yet fiercely and only took guidance from his own inner compass.
We’re certain if he’s not running the place up there by next week, The Big Guy is surely hearing about how he’s doing it all wrong.
Until we meet again Dad – Grandpa – Uncle Wal. Athalmer will never be the same without you.
We love you.
A memorial gathering will be held in the Spring of 2027 to celebrate Wally’s life.
