Downtown Fernie is once again getting an added dose of life Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoons with the return of the Summer Socials at the Fernie Station Square.

The first event of the season took place on a hot Wednesday, July 3 evening with street shopping, boutique shops, a Trunk Treasure sale, live entertainment and activities for the entire family.

Sunday socials will complement the already popular Mountain Market, held every Sunday throughout the summer, and is entering its 12th year of operation. The Fernie Mountain Market is an attraction in itself for those seeking organic and fresh produce, as well as, arts and crafts in a stunning setting. There are also a number of great businesses including cafes, restaurants, accommodation and sporting activity providers dotted along Highway 3 to add to the Fernie experience.

Fernie’s Summer Socials will be held every Wednesday and Sunday from July 3 to August 28.

Look for the action on Wednesdays between 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. and between 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Sundays.
