Winter in the East Kootenay 2022/23

Old Man Winter stumbled into the East Kootenay with an intrusive snarl November 2, 2022 and proceeded to loiter about, casting his white detritus hither and thither, until well past his welcome.

It could be the advancing age turning me into a suckhole, but I swear this past winter was the longest one I’ve endured since living in Manitoba.

Thanks to pandemic restrictions now in the rear view, we managed to get out a bit more this winter, finding our way into every corner of the region at least once – and best of all, when shooting conditions held some favourable sway.

This winter’s image collection of life passing by in the East Kootenay features Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep and Radium Hot Springs, the Fernie/Cokato areas, Cranbrook and area, Elkford, Elko, Roosville, ?aqam, Kimberley and area, Moyie, Sparwood and Wardner.
