2012 in Review – July and August

July and August

The summer months are always the busiest for newspapers.

Community events, busier communities, longer days and the great melt in the high country always combine for plenty of news and awesome opportunities for photo journalism.

This year was no exception, as e-KNOW was kept busy due to a plethora of natural events, beginning in June with the flooding in Kimberley and Wasa, followed by a major mud and rock slide down Fairmont Creek and capped by one of the fiercest wind storms in Cranbrook’s history.

The following images were captured around the region between July 1 and August 31. Other images were featured as lead art for columns and community submissions.
