Bennett speaking about budget over breakfast

The Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce is hosting the first Good Morning Cranbrook meeting Friday, February 27 with keynote speaker the Honourable Bill Bennett, Kootenay East MLA and Minister of Energy and Mines.

The B.C. Budget tabled by the provincial government on February 17 will be the topic of Bennett’s presentation.

Chamber executive director David D. Hull is excited to have Bennett speak to the chamber. “I am confident he will offer a factual, frank, and unfettered presentation on Budget 2015. He is certainly a politician of the people and I am sure he will field all questions and foster open honest discussion.”

Good Morning Cranbrook (GMC) is the chamber’s forum for members to come together to discuss current, topical and often contentious issues.

“There is very little pomp, circumstance or chamber business conducted,” said Hull. “We want to ensure maximum time is offered to our keynote presenters and for an open forum discussion. This is a great opportunity for our members to really become engaged with a topic or issue.”

The GMC event will be at the Heritage Inn & Conference Centre, Friday, February 27. Networking and coffee begins at 7 a.m. with a full buffet breakfast and the keynote speaker’s presentation at 7:30 a.m.

Tickets are $20 and available on line at www.cranbrookchamber.com or by contacting the Chamber Office.
